About Us

Southeast Volusia Humane Society was founded in 1958 by Vivian Oyler. It is our mission to prevent cruelty to animals,
relieve the suffering among animals, and to educate the public on responsible pet care.
Southeast Volusia Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that takes in stray and
unwanted animals in over five cities and the Unincorporated  County of Volusia.
